A MILESTONE HAS BEEN REACHED and THANKS

Posted by rlmorgan51 on July 13, 2015 at 10:00 PM Comments comments (0)

With the posting of my last book review I’ve hit a milestone in my 2nd second career as a Book Reviewer which I began only 10 months ago. I’ve now 150 reviews listed on Amazon, with 96% of my reviews being deemed helpful; and a Ranking of 7,756.

I wish my other second career as an author, could be just as successful. The first novel I wrote is a sweet MG/YA Paranormal Romance novel entitled, "I Kissed a Ghost" which currently has currently has a decent average of 4.1 STARS based on 22 Reviews

My second book is a collection of 100 Flash Fictions I’ve written, with the vast majority of them consisting of only five sentences. The book is entitled “Micro Fiction – An Anthology” and it has so far received two wonderful 5 STAR reviews.

I currently have two WIPs in the process of being written, with both of them about 85% - 90% completed.

The first is an adult Contemporary Romance with a paranormal element running through parts of the storyline which is entitled,

“His Darkest Secret.” The second is a MG/YA Urban Fantasy novella entitled “The Secret of the Well” and is a stand-alone sequel to my first novel which has a romance has a backstory.

I’m also in the process of compiling a second volume for my Micro Fiction Anthology. I wouldn’t have these two careers in addition to being a blogger, etc. if not for you my followers. So THANKS for being here.

Love and Hugs

MY WORLD IS FINALLY TURNING AROUND

Posted by rlmorgan51 on July 8, 2015 at 9:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Somehow I believe this past July 4th will mark the beginning of my independence from the chaotic existence I’ve had to endure since my dear OH had first gone into the hospital.

With the nurse having come on Friday approving the PT at home and the social worker who came yesterday [7/6/15] I will now get the specialist we need to eliminate/reduce the medication which has caused the conditions my dear OH has been suffering from.

Having no backlog of books to read will now allow me at long last to return to my writing endeavors, but before I do I’ll need to re-read everything I’ve already written to refresh my memory and to edit things on the way. One of things I’m going to do is to increase the level of romance I’ve got between the two main characters of my MG/YA Urban Fantasy I’m writing entitled “The Secret of the Well;” which is a stand-alone sequel to my first novel, “I Kissed a Ghost.”

My Amazon Review Ranking is now below 8,000, I guess it must be due the kind of reviews I’ve been writing.

STATUS REPORT # 55

I know I haven’t posted my status report in over a week as I’ve been quite busy with a myriad of things, most important of which is finally having a nurse coming to our apartment to evaluate my dear OH in receiving physical therapy at home; which is something the REHAB facility failed to do for almost four weeks.

Having a home attendant has finally allowed me to take care of things I’ve neglected for months, most important of which has been to promote the two books I’ve written. There have also been sites I’m involved with which I’ve catch up with the backlogs I’ve had there.

For the first time in several months, even before my OH got hospitalized and my life became almost chaotic on a regular basis, I’ve got no backlog in the books I need to read/review. This is due in part to my being unable to enter all the giveaways I used to enter; which means I’m now going to turn to my second source for books to review, the internet support group I belong to,

https://ravereviewsbynonniejules.wordpress.com [mention my name if you decide to join]

Somehow through all this I’ve been able to keep my ranking on Amazon intact.

As you might expect with all this going on, and scarcely any sales in neither of my books, I’ve become somewhat depressed at times. I would to publicly thank all of my followers who have contact me personally with your kind words of support. Hoping everyone and your families will have a happy and safe holiday weekend.

Love

The home attendant we got this weekend is a doll; no problems whatsoever, she even helped getting my OH walking again. Now if I can get that damn Nursing and REHAB facility to do the necessary things so we can get a PT to come to our home, I’d be a happy camper.

As you can tell I’m back to reviewing books again with four reviews done [2 e-books and 2 REAL books] in the past two weeks.

It’s summertime and I’d like for everyone to check out my MG/YA Paranormal Romance novel “I Kissed a Ghost” as a gift for that young in your family. The book has an average of 4.1 STARS based on 21 reviews. And for something different my anthology of Flash Fiction entitled “Micro Fiction – An Anthology.”

I’ve had a disastrous time regarding my OH since my last post due to home attendant who came on Saturday, details of which I’d rather not go into; luckily it’s only one more day.

As you can tell I finally got around to post two new book reviews on Amazon and received wonderful compliments from both authors; receiving these indicates I’ve written a GREAT REVIEW. My current backlog of books to be reviewed now stands at three; with about three more yet to be received.

I’d truly love to get back to my writing endeavors. However, as you can probably imagine with everything going on around me I’m unable to focus for any real length of time; besides without any sales of my books being produced, I don’t have the funds I’d need to self-publish them.

THANKS for your continued support and best wishes, you know I truly appreciate receiving them.

My dear OH has been home for a week now. We’ve got a home attendant 24/7 [Thank Goodness for the LTC insurance]. I’ve been busy getting all the necessary supplies a person like this needs; I even enrolled in Amazon Prime to save on the shipping costs. The paperwork for the insurance and everything else has consumed the vast majority of my time so far. Hopefully I’ll be able to review my first book in three weeks by the end of this week. Followed shortly afterwards being able to increase of my presence on the internet.

THANKS to all those who’ve sent me their best wishes as I truly appreciate your kind support at this time.

As you can I haven’t really done anything since my last post, but the GOOD NEWS is:

My OH has FINALLY come home from the REHAB facility with the aid of a newly hired home attendant who rode in the ambulette back home Tuesday afternoon [6/2]. I had to stay home to await the delivery of a commode, walker, wheelchair, shower transfer bench. My dear had just retired in December and now needs help in doing the daily things we all take for granted: eating, walking, washing, and now needs to wear adult diapers. I’m still

I’ve just enrolled in Amazon Prime for the free shipping on many the items I’m going to need to buy now: bed pads, adult diapers, cream [baby diaper rash], etc.

Hopefully I’ll be able to return shortly to my 2nd second career as a Book Reviewer; my current Amazon Review Ranking is still below 8,400 which I’d love to improve.

I’m still waiting to hear word on my entry for the RWA’s Second Anthology. If I should win, it will definitely help solidify my status as a Romance author.

My two main writing endeavors are still on hold still until I can raise the funds needed to self-publish them.

THANKS for all of your kind support as I truly need and appreciate it.

STATUS REPORT # 50

I’ve had one hell of a time since my prior post this past Friday. Later in the day I received a phone call from the REHAB facility my OH is going to be discharged today. But how can they, as my dear still can’t really walk, go to the bathroom, etc.

I spent yesterday making countless phone calls to the individual monitoring/approving the continued care, and several individuals at the facility who’ve been hard to reach. It turns out the individual there who handles communication with the monitor wanted to get a jump on what he has to do. The facility needs to send out a status report each week for approval for an extended stay, which they didn’t do at that time, but doing it today. So without having sent out a new report, this cad at the facility caused me to basically shout down doing really anything on the internet.

I’m now waiting anxiously to hear word of what’s happening as I need to have 24 hours to arrange for things, and to clear out the spare bedroom we have in our apartment for a home attendant to stay in. On a bright side, the person responsible for my time in hell, said he’d been advised me that the therapists told him my OH isn’t ready to go home.

As I wrote this I received a home call from the Director of Social Work for the facility stating she’s been advised of the situation and apologize profusely for what I’ve been put through.

Hopefully I’ll be able to review a book or two by Sunday. Perhaps, I really must strive to return to the posting of what I’ve done in the past; such as writing Five Sentence Fictions, posting author spotlights, and interviewing authors of my choosing. I might even consider return to slowly writing my currently writing endeavors [like two or three pages a week] as the sales of my books have unfortunately been slow.

Please read my last post regarding my giveaway and KINDLE Countdown.

THANKS for following my blog and your very kind support.

Love

I’m glad I’m a Book Reviewer as it helps me keep part of my attention off of my OH who’s still in REHAB and who I’d love to have back in my arms and in our bed, sleeping next to me. We had so many plans with both of us being retired now.

I’m slowly moving towards increasing my presence on the internet which I’ve neglected to do because of ALL the things which have transpired since just before the beginning of the New Year. One of these things is I’ve consented to be interviewed on a blog, something which I haven’t done for a year, if not more. Will let you know when the interview goes LIVE.

In the past week, as you can tell following my blog, I’ve reviewed four books from four different genres. Right now I’ve got two books in my possession waiting to be read/reviewed with four more books yet to be received. My reviewer ranking has improved once again since last week.

I truly would love to get back to all of my writing endeavors which I see finally happening the beginning of next month.

THANKS AGAIN for being here and have a GREAT WEEK with whatever you do !!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I’m glad my OH is in REHAB now and closer to home but I’d rather it would have been in a better facility, as it had been first one to offer acceptance for the admission.

Things are finally beginning to fall in place as I’d read/reviewed the last book I’d received from the multitude of giveaways I’d won recently. I now have about five book I’m waiting to received which is allowing to return reading books which have been written by members of the internet support group I belong to. These are the ONLY two sources I get the books I review as I don’t accept requests to review books.

I’ve decided to take some more time off from doing any work on the current writing endeavors to totally clean our apartment and catch up with doing some laundry; luckily I’ve got lots of clothes to wear.

I’m happy to report my current Amazon Reviewer Ranking is now at 8,137 with a 97% approval rating for 131 reviews.

THANKS AGAIN and have a GREAT WEEK with whatever you do !!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
